Summitsphere's Antonball Deluxe is a retro-arcade-style-action-puzzle-platformer that "quite literally turns the breakout genre on its head, blending traditional brick-breaking gameplay with tight, intense platforming".
The game was developed over the course of about a year and a half (August 2019 - March 2021) by a team of about a dozen people. Everyone worked remotely. I was brought on as lead programmer in October 2020 to help lighten the workload for the rest of the team. The core gameplay was mostly done before I arrived, but not much beyond that was actually finished. Therefore, I worked on several different parts of the game, including but not limited to:
Most of the menus
Input remapping and handling for up to 4 players
Enemy behaviour and physics
Help with steamworks integration (achievements, matchmaking, etc.)
Bugfixes for pretty much everything
I also worked a little on the DLC.
